Always been fascinated about the ship, I have an A5 size Daily Sketch newspaper dated April 1912 and shows a photo of the ship leaving Belfast (not any of the pictures shown above) but just as much interest are the reports of what was happening in the UK at the same time such as the FA Cup and much more...

A neighbour of my great grandmother was on Titanic with her boyfriend.
She survived, but her boyfriend died by the side of her lifeboat...

She lived in Chicago her whole life, never returning to Sweden. Too afraid to cross the Atlantic again.

Titanic has been a fascination of mine, from when I could speak. I grew up with the story of how my great aunt Rose and family were to visit relations in America, but she developed pneumonia, so they changed their plans. Weird because her little brother, my Grandad was 4 years old, when the ship sank. I may not be here today if they had gone. But what a beautiful ship, and how so very sad that she took all those lives with her.

This ship was the joy of her generation and more. She was a beauty of all, we can't find another ship as great at her.

The Titanic will always live in our memory and for generations to come. She is the jewel of the sea.
