Irish Open

28 June – 01 July 2012 | Royal Portrush

Irish Open After an absence of almost 60 years, the Irish Open will return to Northern Ireland this summer.  The world class links course at Royal Portrush Golf Club will host this prestigious 2012 event, from Thursday 28 June to Sunday 1 July.

Northern Ireland’s historic courses have nurtured more than a few legends.
Some of its home-grown international stars will all be in attendance – Rory McIlroy (US Open Champion 2011), Darren Clarke (The Open Champion 2011) and Graeme McDowell (US Open Champion 2010) – as well as a host of Europe’s top players.

Royal Portrush is widely recognised as one of the top golf courses in Europe. It regularly features in top 20 golf rankings across the world, and has hosted many elite international events in its prestigious history.  In 1951 Royal Portrush became the first course on the island of Ireland to host the British Open.

The traditional seaside town of Portrush lies on the world famous Causeway Coastal route, home to some of our most spectacular scenery, with breathtaking views across to Scotland and Donegal.

Major courses make major winners!
