Indefatigable, opinionated and, as we know her today, unsinkable – Margaret Brown would turn out to be possibly the Titanic’s most famous survivor.
Just like now, the press at the turn of the 20th Century loved a story, and with the character of Titanic survivor Margaret ‘Molly’ Brown, they had one. But, also like the press today, Molly Brown’s story contained one or two inaccuracies.
So, did Molly Brown marry for money? Were she and her husband so wealthy that they burned cash in the fire? Did she save the lives of many on that fateful night? When the Titanic hit the iceberg, did she simply dust herself off and continue reading?
So many questions remain unanswered but here to answer them in person (well, sort of) is the woman herself – The Unsinkable Margaret ‘Molly Brown’.
