I have been to the Anne Moore statue in Cobh. It is not a Titanic memorial. She was the first person to check through the new Ellis Island in New York.

You can visit the private memorial within Southhampton dock providing you sign a disclaimer...... at least that's what I did. It was amazing to stand in the very spot Titanic set sail.

The loss of all those poor Irish families who thought they were going to a better life - more lifeboats wouldn't have helped but such is life. We can't go back and change it, soooo sad

There's a Titanic memorial near the Potomac River in Washington DC.

I have seen photos of the survivors who landed at Millbay docks Plymouth. They have not been seen by the public before and the woman are all standing along by the docks in lovely long coats and hats. I am going to try and find out if i can take copies to get put on sites like this for all to see. A lot of people do not realise that the survivors where bought into Plymouth after being rescued.

Every time that I am in Southampton I make it a goal to visit the three memorials that I know of. The first is one that was erected by the families of the crew members who were lost in the sinking. It is made of sandstone and is is now protected by a metal fence due to the fact that the weather has not been kind to it and there is always the fear that someone will deface it. The Engineer's Memorial is a beautiful monument to those brave engineers who gave up their lives in order to keep the lights on. The third is a table in a local church which is a memorial to the waiters in the grill room who lost their lives.
There is a memorial at the dock from where the Titanic sailed but it is closed to the public for security reasons. You can see it on the right hand side as you drive into the Queen Elizabeth II Terminal.
